NEC consoles have their HU carts region locked. You can not use a Japanese HU cart in a North American console nor vice versa. This modification will install the best region switch available (made by game-tech.us) for the consoles made by NEC.  These are most popular in the PC Engine Duo/-R/-RX to enable them to play North American HU carts.

A comprehensive install includes the following:

• Install the region switch kit
• Install a switch at the back of the console to allow you to switch the region
• system cleanup and verification

• A working NEC system must be provided
