Install Tim Worthington's NESRGB kit in an NES console. A Nintendo style multiAV port will be installed in the back of the console, using the same pinout as SNES, N64, GameCube. This upgrade will allow you to use your NES console using SNES cables to output:

  • composite video (higher quality than the stock composite video out of the NES)
  • S-Video
  • RGB
  • Component Video (using HD Retrovision cables or similar RGB to component encoders)

A comprehensive install includes the following:

  • capacitors will be replaced by high quality Japanese brand (Nichicon, Panasonic, Rubycon, ...)
  • new 7805 voltage regulator with new thermal paste
  • region free mod
  • NESRGB kit install
  • Nintendo MultiAV port installed in the back and fully populated
  • system cleanup and verification

NOTE(S):

  • A new 3D printed Nintendo multiAV port (resin printed by a professional factory) is used
  • Given the popularity of this mod, NESRGB kits are always in stock unless you want to supply your own
  • A working NES system must be provided with good 72 pin cart connector
