Install Tim Worthington's NESRGB kit in an NES Top Loader console. A Nintendo style multiAV port will be installed in the back of the console, using the same pinout as SNES, N64, GameCube. This kit will allow you to connect your NES Top Loader console using standard cables to:
- composite video
- S-Video
- RGB
- Component Video (using HD Retrovision cables or similar RGB to component encoders)
A comprehensive install includes the following:
- capacitors will be replaced by high quality Japanese brand (Nichicon, Panasonic, Rubycon, ...)
- new 78S05 voltage regulator with new thermal paste
- NESRGB kit install
- NESRGB firmware upgraded to latest revision
- Nintendo MultiAV port installed in the back and fully populated
- Install red LED under the power switch
- system cleanup and verification
NOTE(S):
- A 3D printed Nintendo multiAV port (from a professional factory) is used
- Given the popularity of this mod, NESRGB kits are always in stock unless you want to supply your own
- An NES Top Loader system must be provided in good working condition
